Garlic Butter Steak with Asparagus, Mushrooms & Rustic Mash

A comforting and savory dinner plate featuring perfectly seared steak slices, buttery garlic asparagus, earthy mushrooms, and creamy, chunky mashed potatoes.
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
For the Steak:
1 boneless ribeye or sirloin steak (~250–300gრ
Salt and black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Garlic Asparagus & Mushrooms:
1 cup asparagus, trimmed
1/2 cup cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp butter
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Rustic Mashed Potatoes:
2 medium potatoes (skin on), chopped
1 tbsp butter
1–2 tbsp milk or cream
Salt, pepper, chopped chives or parsley (optional)
𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
1️⃣ Cook the Potatoes
Boil the potatoes until fork-tender (~10–12 min). Drain and mash roughly with butter and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
2️⃣ Sear the Steak
Pat the steak dry, season with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil over high heat for 3–4 min per side for medium-rare. Add butter at the end and baste. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
3️⃣ Sauté Asparagus & Mushrooms
In a pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms and asparagus; cook 5–6 minutes until tender and slightly browned. Season to taste.
4️⃣ Plate & Serve
Arrange sliced steak, garlic butter asparagus with mushrooms, and a generous scoop of rustic mash on a plate. Spoon over extra pan juices for flavor.
